New Developments

Planetarium Shows

Step inside our new planetarium for an amazing full dome experience. Find out about the movement of Earth and other planets in our solar system. Learn to identify constellations, then sit back as we present ‘We are Aliens’. This immersive film, narrated by Rupert Grint, explores how our understanding of life on Earth guides the hunt for alien life elsewhere in the Universe.

This show lasts 60 minutes and costs £75 per session, for up to 30 pupils. 

Education Outreach

Catalyst has developed a programme of outreach activities that we can bring out and deliver in your school.
All workshops have been risk assessed and our staff all have an enhanced DBS.

Activities include:

  • Light Fantastic – years 1 – 6
  • Tasty Toothpaste – years 2 – 4
  • Home-made switches – years 3 – 4
  • Planetarium Show and We are Aliens – years 3 – 6
  • Fantastic Plastic – years 5 – 9
  • Making a Medicine – years 5 – 6
  • Towering Tetrahedrons – years 5 – 7

We can deliver a half day (up to two sessions) for £300 or a full day (up to five sessions) for £600.
