Community Generosity Helps Catalyst Acquire New A3 Scanner

Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum in Widnes is excited to announce that, thanks to the generous donation of Widnes Rotary Club, we are now able to purchase a state-of-the-art A3 scanner.

This new equipment will greatly enhance our ability to digitize, preserve, and share important documents, and resources. The larger A3 format means we can now scan materials that were previously too large for standard devices, expanding both the quality and the scope of our work.

“We are deeply grateful to Widnes Rotary Club for making this possible,” said Judith Wilde, Heritage and Collections Manager. “The A3 scanner will allow us to protect valuable records, and make our resources more accessible to the community.”

The addition of the A3 scanner represents an important step forward in Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum’s commitment to heritage, accessibility, and sustainability. By improving our in-house scanning services, we can work more efficiently and ensure that materials are preserved for future generations.
