Heritage Manager
Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum are looking to appoint a Heritage Manager, responsible for managing Catalyst’s heritage programmes, activities and galleries and to project manage the Synergy Project, a National Lottery Heritage Funded project. Candidates should be educated to degree level and have a post graduate museum qualification or equivalent museum experience.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead an exciting, forward-thinking community led project culminating in a new gallery and transition spaces and enhanced heritage offer.

Invitation to Quote
Co-creation consultant required for ‘Synergy’ project
Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum is seeking an individual consultant or consulting company with experience of working within the heritage sector to quote for a contract to carry out co-creation work for Synergy. This is a National Lottery Heritage Funded project and this work will commence 2nd January 2023 with a contract value of £10k.
The successful consultant will deliver the co-creation activities for our Synergy project to ensure that target audiences are involved in the design of our first floor heritage gallery, link areas and observatory. They will engage with our designers and provide the final report to inform the design of these areas.The person or company will need to be highly motivated, with a genuine desire to succeed and work to deadlines.

Chair of Trustees Appointment
The Trustees of Catalyst are looking to appoint a new Chair of Trustees to take this successful science centre and museum forward.
Catalyst is a unique science centre focused on the chemical sector and the UK’s only museum of the chemical industry. It plays a vital role as a communicator of STEM education, skills and knowledge and also, in preserving the heritage of the chemical sector and making this publicly available.The Trustees wish to appoint a new Chair of Trustees to take this successful Centre and Museum forward. We are looking for a new Chair to provide inspiration, leadership, strategic guidance, and ensure effective governance of the Charity. Along with the Trustees, the Chair will support the Operational Team to achieve Catalyst’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities. The Chair will lead, with the Trustees, CEO and senior leadership team, the development of a new 5 year strategy for Catalyst that builds on its current position, the extensive work of the outgoing Chair, and its 35 year reputation.
