Quiet Hours Morning at Catalyst

With thanks to National Lottery players, we are launching a Quiet Hours Morning series.

Step into a calmer, more relaxed museum experience with our Quiet Hours Morning designed for anyone who wants to explore, discover, and engage at their own pace, particularly people with SEND needs and those supporting them.

When: Sunday 25 January 2026

Where: Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum

Here’s what’s happening:

  • Grab a sensory pack or ear defenders to make your visit just right for you or your young people.
  • AV equipment will be turned off or lowered, creating a more peaceful environment.
  • Unwind in our Regulation Room, with comfy seating and low lighting.
  • Join in with a drop-in activity to explore what’s great about our current space and get a sneak peek at our upcoming design plans.

Quiet Hours are all about giving you the space to enjoy the museum your way and bringing accessible options front and centre for the community. And after Quiet Hours? The museum stays open with its usual energy, activities, and sounds so you can continue your adventure however you like.

Come along, take it slow, explore, and see what’s next for our space. Everyone’s welcome!

Please note that due to upgrades in our ticketing system, at this time we will only be taking bookings in person, by email to visitorservices@catalyst.org.uk, or by phone. Thank you!
