Danny Takeover Day

Join us as we take over the Daniel Adamson Steamship for the day on Thursday 1st August.

The Daniel Adamson is a unique 1903 steamship, affectionately known as The Danny. It’s stunning Art Deco saloons have been lovingly restored to exactly as they would have been in 1936, complete with curved bar, wooden panelling rumoured to have come from the Oceanic fleet of ships and original tables and chairs which are evocative of a past time of shipping and celebration.

When static, you can find The Danny moored adjacent to the swing bridge on the River Weaver Navigation near the A56.

Join us for a day full of activities for the whole family. Have a go at bug hunting on our biodiversity mat, learn how to make your own plant pots from newspapers and take a look at a selection of heritage items from our museum archives.

Admission is free and we’ll be there from 10:00am
