In addition to the three galleries, families can also see a science show or even take part in one of our holiday or weekend workshops.
Also on offer is free car parking, a gift shop and the Catalyst cafe, the perfect place to enjoy a tasty snack or drink whilst admiring the riverside views.

Staff training and annual maintenance
Catalyst will be closed from Wednesday 3rd to Friday 5th September and from Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th September for staff training and annual maintenance. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Access for all
Catalyst has been designed with all visitors in mind, with ramped access to the front door, level access to all areas, a lift to all floors and accessible cafe, shop and a ‘Changing Places’ facility.
Workshops and family activities
Throughout the school holidays and at weekends we run a programme of exciting hands-on activities and family science shows.

Catalyst PlayLab!
Our under 5s PlayLab has had some lovely new materials added. Perfect for mini scientists to investigate. Located at the back of our cafeteria, this area is free to access and includes:
- Mini Lab coats
- Safety goggles
- Test tubes
- Toy microscopes
- and more!
Come and let your young ones play while you have a relax with a coffee in the cafe!
