Panoramic Halton Tablets
Ask at Reception to borrow* an interactive tablet (supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund) to explore the history of the area that you can see from the windows of the 4th floor Observatory gallery. Activate the tablet by holding it against the orange sticker by the lift on the ground floor, then follow the instructions to discover a wealth of information, video clips and archive photographs.
* Please note, a deposit is required if borrowing a tablet.
When we have no conferences, you can visit the conference room on the second floor and try out all our maths, puzzles, games and problem solving activities. Great fun for all the family.
For families with children under 4 you can borrow one of our brilliant backpacks while you explore the galleries. These are free to borrow and contain items to dress up in, like a high-vis vest and hard hat, there is a trail to follow and there are things like binoculars, a torch and a magnifying glass which all help to make your visit even more fun!
Backpacks do not need to be booked, they are issued at Reception on a first come, first served basis with the last pack of the day being issued an hour before closing.
